DESMOND LEUNG'S "THE WAY OF FLOWER"

“The Way Flower” reflects on man’s connection with nature and the impermanence of life. As spring brings both life and death, the artwork – juxtaposing digital decayed wood with vibrant blossoms – mirrors the cycles of renewal and decline in our environment and society. It invites us to embrace change, acknowledge fragility, and find beauty in transformation, reminding us that even in uncertain times, life continues to evolve.

Desmond Leung is a visionary intermedia artist renowned for his exploration of divine nature, conscious awareness, and mindfulness through a diverse array of mediums, including abstract painting, moving images, digital sculpture, and virtual technology. Collectively, he defines these endeavors as contemporary Holistic Art — a pioneering approach that seeks to create an immersive visual language that underscores the relevance of divine nature in modern society.

By harmoniously integrating traditional and digital art forms, Desmond aims to expand human
consciousness and guide individuals toward inner peace amidst the complexities of contemporary life. His artistry is distinguished by its ability to blend spirituality, technology, and the expressive power of visual media, inviting audiences into transformative experiences that resonate deeply with today’s challenges.

Desmond’s global presence is marked by numerous acclaimed exhibitions, including The Evolution(s) by Visible Music immersive art concert in Hong Kong, the 29ROOMS immersive art installation in Singapore, and The Bloom of Water Lilies interactive ink art installation at Art Central 2022. His international exhibitions have spanned Art Basel Miami, a solo exhibition titled Floating Memory in Switzerland, and appearances at Vienna Design Week and Maker Faire Ottawa at the Canada Science and Technology Museum.

Leung’s current projects include the third installation of the Visible Music Art Concert series and “The Path of Abundance”, a three-month interactive public art exhibition exploring themes of abundance with nature and way of life, scheduled for the East Kowloon Cultural Centre (EKCC) in 2025. He is also developing a personal artwork series that explores the interconnections between humanity, nature and spirituality.
