JOE ELLUL AT 56 SAI STREET IN SHEUNG WAN
Joe Ellul is a young artist from Hong Kong who aims to illustrate how he perceives the world, gaining the majority of his ideas and inspiration based on his surroundings, combining his experiences and imagination to portray his vision.
Joe Ellul是一位香港年輕藝術家,他旨在描繪自己對世界的感知,主要從身邊的環境獲取靈感和想法,將自己的經歷與想像結合,以展現他的視野。
Joe’s mural at 56 Sai Street in Sheung Wan represents the flow of nature and everyday life and how essential it is in our everyday life. It is inspired by his upbringing in Hong Kong’s Lamma Island, incorporating elements found there such as oyster shells, seashells, and tree branch patterns, take a closer look and you will find a lot of motifs that are related to his beloved home.
這次創作作品位於上環西街56號,靈感來自於他在香港南丫島的成長經歷,仔細觀察,你會發現許多與他心愛的家園相關的圖案, 如各種蠔殼、貝殼的形狀,樹枝的橫紋等圖案及紋路都是對日常觀察夠仔細入微的呈現。Joe希望透過這次創作的作品表現出大自然與我們的日常生活環環相扣,息息相關,千絲萬縷的關係,因而帶出大自然對我們的重要性。
