At Water Lane by 55 Tung Street in Sheung Wan, Erin’s ‘Look How Far You Have Come’ inspired by the nostalgic game Aeroplane Chess (飛行棋), painting the fond memories of locals’ childhood into the mural. Through playful yet intentional design, where the ‘moving’ feature of Aeroplane Chess reflects similarities with characteristics of Tai Ping Shan Street and the city as a whole, known for its walkability, the mural encourages self-reflection, inviting viewers to pause, acknowledge their own personal journeys and move through life with positivity and enthusiasm.
